WHO’S THE LIAR?
Another development today in the continuing saga of cocaine-snorting, binge-drinking, woman-bashing bully boy Wayne Carey.
And before I start let me ask all those e-mail critics who, in recent days, have called me a bottom-feeding, gossip-spreading, vindictive coward if they have also diligently protested to every current affairs presenter, radio and TV news director and newspaper editor in the country who has covered this story.
And another question for the haters: How come you can’t spell?
Anyway, yesterday on my 3AW program, I went back to the Carey story after his appearance on Andrew Denton’s Enough Rope because Carey, when confronted with my earlier reports on his drunken, reckless, behaviour in Bendigo, accused me of being a liar.
And I said: And while we’re on Bendigo, Wayne, maybe get your lawyers to check out another incident you were involved in there concerning a coach at the Inglewood Football Club.
Just to refresh your memory:
That night at the Dunny Diner when you beat the crap out of the Reserves Coach at Inglewood. Damien Hall. Of course you didn’t know who he was.
He was just a bloke sitting there with his wife and another family friend, having a steak sandwich, when he went to the assistance of a young woman – whom you also didn’t know – after you grabbed a hamburger from her plate.
When she protested you jammed the burger into her face and knocked her over backwards. Bit like jabbing a glass into your girlfriend’s face. That’s when you laid into Damien Hall.
His face was swollen, his eye was cut. He went straight to the Police station around the corner to report the assault but was told to forget it. You were a high profile footballer. It would never get anywhere. And when he went to hospital next day, because of blackouts, he was told it was an obvious assault and had to be reported. Still nothing happened. After all, you were King Carey. And as the coppers told Hall, there had ‘already been a couple of incidents tonight’.
Seeing that we’ve helped your lawyers with their research in Bendigo maybe now they should turn their attention to your behaviour in Adelaide with the Crows. Plenty of stories there.
Don’t believe me about Bendigo? Call me a liar? Talk to another of your victims, Damien Hall.
