COMMUNITY SERVICE?
That charming gangster’s moll Wendy Peirce is back in the news and back in the courts yet again. And again she’s conning the legal system. That family has been doing it well with judges and juries since Dennis Allen was killing people in Richmond and her husband Victor Peirce got away with murdering two young coppers in Walsh Street. Thanks to her.
They have spent their sordid, bloody, lives living off ill-gotten gains. Wives and widows like Judy Moran, Barbara Williams, Wendy Peirce, Roberta Williams. And making money from their notoriety through eager but unprincipled TV current affairs programs.
Peirce was in the news again last year when she was charged and sentenced to jail for threatening a witness before the trial of one of her husband’s killers.
A police summary tendered to the court alleged Ms Peirce sent a threatening e-mail to a witness and a former girlfriend of her husband just a month before the committal hearing.
‘You f..king maggot. When I get my hands on you, you f..ked-up f..kin home wrecker, I'll blow your f..kin head off, dog, trust me.
‘Don't underestimate me cause I will find you, and when I do it will be worth doing jail over, u maggot of a thing, Wendy Peirce. p.s and don't think for one moment that I haven't forgotten you and will hunt you down like a mangy maggot that u are that's not a threat that's a promise, Wendy Peirce.’
What a charming piece of humanity. This is a woman whose lawyer in court yesterday successfully urged a magistrate not to jail Peirce for unpaid fines but to give her community service.
Victor Andreou told Magistrate Julian Fitz-Gerald that Peirce ‘has a child who is a young mother and she is dependent on Mrs. Peirce.’ He said the daughter is suffering some sort of depression and that Peirce often cared for her nine-month old granddaughter.
A fine example of motherhood. What a role model. A woman who boasted in print that she laughed and thought it was funny watching one of the Allen gang’s victims being cut up with a chainsaw.
Peirce owed more than $14,000 in fines on more than 60 infringements since 2003 -- including 28 counts of driving an unregistered vehicle on CityLink and 28 parking fines. Instead of jail she’ll do 500 hours of supposed community work with Father Bob Maguire. That’s the equivalent of $28 an hour. Nice gimmick. Justice prevails again. Not.
